Yoga is a practice that is thousands of years old, which unites mind, body and soul though an eight-fold path – known as the eight limbs of yoga, that act as a set of guidelines to live a meaningful and purposeful life.
All Valley Yoga classes follow this traditional path and incorporate many of these eight steps into the sessions, such as asana (postures), pranayama (breathing practices) and dhyana (meditation).
There are many reasons to attend a yoga class – to improve strength and flexibility in the body (and/or the mind), to relax the muscles, or for some ‘me’ time to just be. It doesn’t matter what brings you to the mat, or whether it is the first or 50th time you’ve stepped onto one, at Valley Yoga you’ll be welcomed, with all classes including modifications and various levels to allow you to practice yoga that is best suited to you and your body.
